A rather quiet and unremarkable evening for the Florida Keys. Some
convection developed along a cloud line south of the Lower Keys
earlier in the period but quickly fizzled out as they drifted into
the distant Straits of Florida. Additional activity attempted to
move off the mainland but it too met the same fate as it moved
deeper into our waters. Since then we`ve been watching occasional
showers and isolated thunderstorms pivot through the broad
cyclonic flow that surrounds Tropical Depression Nine.
Additional activity will be pivot through for the overnight as TD
Nine continues a very slow crawl towards the north. In addition,
winds will gradually freshen, most noticeable across the eastern
waters. As such, made some adjustments to raise winds, but kept
the rest of the forecast the same for the overnight.

Small Craft Exercise Caution headlines are in effect for the
waters east of the Seven Mile Bridge. Small Craft Advisories may
be required starting as early as Sunday for the same waters.
Gentle to moderate northeasterly breezes will back northwesterly
and freshen overnight thanks to the nearby Tropical Depression
Nine. TD Nine is forecast to move north- northwest over the
Bahamas this weekend and remain east of the Florida Peninsula.
Impacts to the Florida Keys waters are expected to be moderate to
fresh breezes in the easternmost waters and northeasterly swells
along the Upper Keys.

VFR conditions will prevail, however, northerly winds will
increase towards Sunday morning with gusts of 20 to 25 knots,
outside of any convection. Exact coverage remains uncertain at
this time and will keep mentions out. That being said, it will
favor the MTH terminal over the EYW terminal.
