.DISCUSSION... Issued at 108 PM CDT Sun Sep 28 2025
Tonight through Friday
A 500 mb ridge of high pressure will remain in control of the area`s weather through the upcoming work week. This ridge will provide dry weather and unseasonably warm temperatures (10 to 15 degrees above normal). High temperatures will primarily range from the upper 70s to mid-80s. There might be a small chance of showers just west and northwest of the area on Wednesday night. Other than that the Upper Midwest will remain dry.
Next Weekend
The 500 mb ridge slides just enough east that some shortwave troughs ejecting out of the western longwave trough may bring some rain chance to the area. High temperatures will range from mid-70s to mid-80s.

.AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z TUESDAY/... Issued at 1230 AM CDT Mon Sep 29 2025
Predominantly VFR conditions expected through the TAF period. The exception would be the possibility of low stratus or fog forming along the Mississippi and points eastward into central Wisconsin as there are some increases in low level moisture and light winds, however with low level winds increasing overnight (10 to 15 mph) the fog/low stratus potential is a bit uncertain. Due to this, have elected to put BCFG for KLSE as the confidence for widespread valley fog is not there at the moment. Any fog or stratus that does form will dissipate by mid morning. Some high level clouds, between 20kft and 25kft will move into the region later this evening. Light southerly winds will continue through the TAF period.
