.SYNOPSIS... Several rounds of showers and some thunderstorms are expected through Thursday with the potential for isolated damaging winds on Wednesday. Some lingering light shower activity will also be possible Friday and Saturday. Dry conditions are expected Sunday into early next week.
&&
.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/... Spotty showers have developed along and south of a boundary that is near the Ohio River early this afternoon. Cannot rule out some isolated thunder as well this afternoon. This activity will decrease later this evening and there will be a brief lull. This lull will be short lived however as another round of moisture will work until the region from the southwest. Widespread showers and some thunder as well will be possible after midnight and especially later in the overnight hours. Some heavier downpours will be possible with this rainfall. Low temperatures across the region tonight will drop down into the 60s.
&&
.SHORT TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT/... Showers and some thunderstorms will be ongoing across the region Wednesday morning and then gradually moving to the east through the day. Late in the day additional thunderstorms will move into the Tri-State region and then near and Southeast of Interstate 71. Additional heavy downpours will be possible with this precipitation. In addition cannot rule out some isolated damaging winds as well especially near and south of the Ohio River. Mentioned this treat in the HWO. Temperatures will generally be in the 70s across the region on Wednesday with low 70s expected north of Interstate 70 and upper 70s south of the Ohio River.
Shower and thunderstorm activity will continue into Wednesday night, especially southeast of Interstate 71. Low temperatures will range from the upper 50s to lower 60s. Will have to watch the potential for some fog as the main area of precipitation moves out Wednesday night.
&&
.LONG TERM /THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY/... An upper level disturbance moves through on Thursday bringing additional showers and some thunderstorm activity to the region. This system will be slow to move out and therefore linger showers into Friday as well. Temperatures Thursday and Friday are currently expected to be in the 70s with lows Thursday night and Friday night in the 50s.
While a spotty shower cannot be ruled out across the Scioto River Valley on Saturday, expect mostly dry conditions Saturday through Monday. Upper 70s to low 80s are expected to be the high temperatures during this time. Lows are generally expected in the 50s.
&&
.AVIATION /18Z TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY/... Area TAF sites are currently VFR, however cannot rule out some brief MVFR cigs this afternoon. Expect generally dry conditions at the TAF sites this afternoon and into the early evening hours, however there will be the potential for some spotty shower activity around KCVG and KLUK at the start of the TAF period.
Another round of more widespread shower and some thunderstorm activity will move into the region overnight with multiple rounds expected through the TAF period. Timed in best chances for thunderstorm potential with a PROB30 -TSRA at all area TAF sites except KDAY. Cigs will lower overnight and for the morning on Wednesday. They will be slow to rise into the afternoon on Wednesday. Visibility will also be reduced at times.
OUTLOOK...MVFR/IFR CIGs are possible Wednesday through Thursday night, with MVFR VSBY also possible. IFR vsbys will also be possible at times Thursday morning. Thunderstorms are possible Wednesday.
