.DISCUSSION... As of 115 PM EDT, high clouds continue to stream northward from the mid Atlantic states. This will allow for filtered sunshine for areas near and south of I-90, with more sunshine to the north for this afternoon. High temperatures should reach the mid/upper 70s in many valley areas.
Clear to partly cloudy tonight as high clouds persist, especially areas from I-90 south. These high clouds may keep overnight min temps a bit milder for these areas along with slightly less coverage of fog. For areas north of I-90, slightly cooler as clouds remain thinner, and also a bit greater chance of at least patchy fog formation. Lows in the 40s across northern areas and 50s elsewhere.
A cold front will be dropping southward during Tuesday. Moisture will remain limited, so no precipitation is expected. However, winds will increase in the wake of the front and may become gusty Tuesday afternoon, especially where channeled north/northeast flow develops across portions of the upper Hudson River Valley, where some gusts up to 25-30 mph could occur late in the day. High temps mainly in the 70s, except 60s for northern areas.
Cool and breezy for Tuesday night into Wednesday, with north/northeast winds occasionally gusting up to 25 mph, especially within the Hudson River Valley due to channeled flow. Lows in the mid 30s across the southern Adirondacks, to the lower/mid 40s elsewhere. Highs Wednesday ranging from the mid 50s to lower/mid 60s. Patchy clouds may be around Wednesday morning before clearing in the afternoon.
Widespread frost/freeze potential for Wednesday night as high pressure nears the region amid a dry airmass. Lows should be in the mid 20s to mid/upper 30s. Frost Advisories/Freeze Warnings will likely be needed for many areas outside of the southwest Adirondacks where the growing season ends Oct 1. Highs Thursday in the 50s/60s.
Chilly again Thursday night with some areas of frost possible. Otherwise gradual warming trend begins Friday and continues through Sunday. Lows Friday morning mainly in the 30s. Max temps in the 60s/70s Friday, and 70s to around 80 Saturday/Sunday. Overnight lows mainly in the 40s to around 50.

.AVIATION /18Z MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/... Flying conditions are currently VFR across the region with light surface winds. Visible satellite imagery shows widespread thin high cirrus clouds in place. Based on satellite trends, sct-bkn high clouds will continue to spread across the region from the south for the rest of the day and into tonight. These clouds are very thin and there will be some breaks, so some patchy fog may still develop for the late night hours in the typical sheltered areas. Will mention a period of IFR fog developing at KPSF and KGFL around 07z and continuing to about 12z or so. Elsewhere, a larger T/td spread, the thin clouds and a light breeze may prevent fog from occurring. The fog should be dissipating shortly after sunrise. Winds will remain very light to calm for the overnight hours.
For during the day on Tuesday, flying conditions will be VFR with no precip. Skies will be fairly clear, with just few-sct high clouds around. With a cold front moving through, winds will become northerly at 5-10 kts for all sites on Tuesday. A few higher gusts are possible during the afternoon hours.
Outlook...
Tuesday Night: Low Operational Impact. Breezy. NO SIG WX. Wednesday: Low Operational Impact. Breezy. NO SIG WX. Wednesday Night-Saturday: No Operational Impact. NO SIG WX.
