.DISCUSSION... Issued at 134 PM CDT Sat Sep 27 2025
Tonight and Sunday Night
While the winds aloft will be decreasing tonight, the overall fog potential looks to be on the low side due to a downslope winds and drying moisture in the boundary layer. Low temperatures tonight will be in the 40s.
Sunday through Friday
A ridge of high pressure will dominate the weather for much of next week. High temperatures will range from the mid-70s to mid-80s. Like yesterday, the high temperatures from Wednesday through Friday look to be on the cool side. Currently, the temperatures are in the mid- 70s to around 80. If these trends continue, these temperatures will have to be eventually raised into the 75th percentile which ranges from the upper 70s to mid-80s.
From looking at the dew points upstream, they are a bit too high. Will be using the NBM 10th percentile to bring them closer to reality for Sunday and Monday.

.AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z SUNDAY/... Issued at 1205 PM CDT Sat Sep 27 2025
VFR conditions are expected for much of the TAF period outside of the potential for shallow IFR to LIFR fog east of the Mississippi River between 09-14Z. The coverage and thickness of the fog is of low confidence given the drier air filtering in behind a cold front and there is a modest chance that little fog forms at all. Stratus concerns for the Mississippi River also are of lower confidence given this dry air, but bear watching. NW winds around 10-15 kts this afternoon become light this evening and back to the SE around 5 kts for Sunday.
