With upper-level ridging building into the region from the west
and high pressure at the surface, mild and dry conditions are
expected through the end of this work week. Highs will be in the
mid to upper 80s with lows in the upper 50s and 60s.

/Saturday through Wednesday/
High pressure will continue to dominate across the Southern Great
Plains this upcoming weekend with plentiful sun and highs warming
slightly into the upper 80s/near 90 degrees. By next week, upper-
level troughing will slowly work its way into the region from the
west. While divergence aloft and broad synoptic scale forcing for
ascent will lead to a potential increase in cloudiness for next
week, very dry low and mid-levels preclude any precipitation
chances at this time. Temperatures should remain near average for
the end of the forecast period with highs in the mid and upper
80s.

evening, then light northeast Friday afternoon as the axis of a
surface ridge slides east across the region. Otherwise, high
