.DISCUSSION... Issued at 134 PM CDT Sat Sep 27 2025
Tonight and Sunday Night
While the winds aloft will be decreasing tonight, the overall fog potential looks to be on the low side due to a downslope winds and drying moisture in the boundary layer. Low temperatures tonight will be in the 40s.
Sunday through Friday
A ridge of high pressure will dominate the weather for much of next week. High temperatures will range from the mid-70s to mid-80s. Like yesterday, the high temperatures from Wednesday through Friday look to be on the cool side. Currently, the temperatures are in the mid- 70s to around 80. If these trends continue, these temperatures will have to be eventually raised into the 75th percentile which ranges from the upper 70s to mid-80s.
From looking at the dew points upstream, they are a bit too high. Will be using the NBM 10th percentile to bring them closer to reality for Sunday and Monday.

.AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z MONDAY/... Issued at 623 PM CDT Sat Sep 27 2025
VFR conditions with mostly clear to clear skies will be predominant over the next 24 hours. Some fog/stratus could occur around the usual trouble spots in the Wisconsin River valley but drier air filtering into the region should limit this greatly. Similarly, while light winds in the lowest 10 kft of the atmosphere would support fog formation at LSE, the arrival of drier air increases confidence that disruption will not occur. Have therefore trended away from LIFR using a FEW group with a view toward total removal with the 00z issuance.
