- An upper level trough passing through Montana this weekend will bring near to slightly below average daytime temperatures through the end of the next week.
- Gusty NW winds will require a Lake Wind Advisory tonight from 3AM tonight to 4 PM tomorrow.
- Freezing temperatures Sunday night and Monday morning. WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:
An upper level trough will continue to dig into western Montana and push east this weekend bringing cooler temperatures and rain through tonight. Nighttime lows below freezing are expected on Sunday night. The lowest temperatures will be in the lower 20s in northern Philips and Valley counties.
Steady rain is expected this afternoon and tonight mainly along and south of the Missouri River as the upper trough moves through the area. Most of the rain with this system will be south of the Missouri River where the probability of 0.25 inch of rain is 40 to 80 percent while it will be 10 percent or less near the Canadian Border. Chances for light rain will linger into Sunday morning south of the Missouri River. Then, skies will clear Sunday afternoon as high pressure moves into the area.
